Elite Security Review

With everything from home protection to home automation, Elite Home Security provides homeowners with the equipment they need to protect their houses. Located in Utah, the company has just under a decade of experience. While it may not have the best rating in terms of customer service, it does offer a wide range of equipment from all of the major brands. However, with a costly monthly fee, it may not be worth the price of working with Elite for every homeowner.

Elite offers only the best equipment for homeowners, with devices made by GE, Honeywell, and 2GIG. GE’s security systems are the top-ranked in the country, as they are known to be highly advanced, user-friendly, and intuitive. The Honeywell systems are much more affordable, and tend to be as limitless in their application. 2GIG specializes in wireless home systems, but has a reputation for being top-of-the-line.

With all of this quality equipment available, it comes as no surprise that Elite Home Security can offer such a wide range of service. Its basic home security package comes with three door and window sensors, a motion sensor, a siren, and the 2GIG control panel.  For those willing to pay a bit more, home automation devices can be installed in the thermostat and the lighting to give homeowners total control over their houses.

Monitoring and Services

The fact that Elite Home Security is such a young company means that there is only limited information available online about the company and the quality of its services. Elite had an average response time to emergencies, with the proper first responders arriving on the scene less than 45 minutes after the alarm is first tripped. However, the monitoring station is online 24 hours a day, ensuring that your home is protected at all times.

The Elite Home Security website boasts that it will get the installation of your home security system done right the first time. There will be no need for future visits to upgrade or alter the installation, or deal with incorrectly activated equipment. For those who have little time to spend waiting for a technician, Elite Home Security promises to get the installation done without wasting precious hours. However, the company is not registered with the BBB, and there are a number of customer complaints online about its service.

The cost of the basic home security system begins at $49.99/month for just home protection. To add basic home automation, the price rises to $54.99/month, or it goes as high as $64.99/month for total home protection and automation.

The Good

The Elite Home Security app is very easy to use to access and control your home security system

The Bad

The company offers monitoring and equipment at a very steep price, even for Utah

The Bottom Line

Reports and reviews online show that Elite Home Security has unethical business practices, which can leave many consumers uneasy about contracting the company
