Choosing a Gun for Home Security

There are many levels of home security you can implement. Your home security system is a starting point, and although it’s not perfect, it can be the best deterrent against certain types of crimes. • Reliability. You want a gun that will fire when you pull the trigger. A gun that malfunctions doesn’t do you any good when it comes time to use it.
• Price. Cost can be a factor for some people when choosing a gun for home defense. You can get a handgun for less than about $200, if you look around. There’s no reason to pay more than what you need.
• Storage. If you intend to use a gun for home security, you need to make sure you have equipment or facilities to properly store it. A keypad safe is a great way to make sure no one else can get their hands on the gun, preventing accidents. It’s also one of the quickest ways to get to your gun in the event of an emergency.
